One Client, 300+ Hires, £1m+ Saved.

While some of our clients choose to keep their names private, we can still share the impact of the work we do for them: real roles, real numbers, and measurable savings.

The Client Brief

A global operator in the iGaming industry asked us to become their end-to-end hiring partner. The mandate was ambitious: build out their organisation across multiple functions with speed, scale, and certainty.

The Delivery Scope

We delivered over 300 hires in just 18 months, building teams across Customer Support, Player Operations, Finance, Product, HR, and Technology. The hiring spanned multiple regions, including Europe, LATAM, and fully remote global hubs, giving the client a truly international workforce at speed and scale.

The Bullfinch Impact

We built entire departments from the ground up, including Finance and HR leadership layers, and delivered talent across every level, from entry to senior leadership. In doing so, we scaled their international workforce by over 300 people, while embedding recruitment processes, candidate tracking, and transparent reporting at every stage.

Let’s talk numbers

  • Using a traditional contingent model (20% fees), the projected agency costs exceeded €1.5m.
  • Using the Bullfinch time-and-materials model, the costs were ~78% less, with predictable monthly billing.
  • The total savings are over £1 million across the 18 months.

Why This Works

We became an embedded partner, working as a true extension of the client’s internal team. That meant shared tools, shared goals, and shared accountability. Our recruiters adjusted their capacity based on live demand, with every hour logged and every role tracked transparently. We sourced globally, across time zones and currencies, and built the agility to scale up or down without missing a beat. That’s how we delivered over 300 hires without compromising on quality, speed, or cost control.

Looking forwards

Our partnership continues; we’re already on track to reach 400 hires. We’re working closely with this client to continue scaling specialist functions, including Product, Finance, and Tech, while building out long-term hiring infrastructure. This means designing more efficient processes, improving internal capabilities, and ensuring the business is set up to hire smarter at every stage of growth. This isn’t just about filling roles anymore; it’s about future-proofing their hiring.

We have some time for questions…

How did you manage 300+ hires in one year?

By embedding recruiters into the client’s workflows and flexing capacity according to peaks in demand, we maintained consistent delivery month over month.

Did the quality of hires hold at this scale?

Yes. Our process design balanced speed with quality; each candidate was screened and delivered with clear reporting.

What was the biggest challenge?

Coordinating simultaneous hiring waves across functions and geographies. This required strong project management and transparency of our recruiters’ hours.

How much did the client save?

Over £1m compared to what they would have paid under a traditional 20% fee model.

Can this approach work for smaller companies?

Absolutely. While this case involved 300 hires, the same model works for companies needing 3 or 30 roles, with the same cost savings and transparency.
